So with the title of my today’s blog, I ask you, Do you think wearing a ‘Ghoonghat’ (or veil), Sati pratha and child marriage part of Indian tradition? You must be wondering, What? Of course yes!! That’s what was taught us in history class in school! These were the devils of the Indian society... Well, again this time, I am being straight-forward and telling the simple and accurate answer for this question, which is “NOT AT ALL!!” So now, the question arises, then why are we taught this, is it fake, and BTW, why would historians write fake history for the Indian society?
